I started Christmas shopping

...yes, I have finally started. Leah and I went to Copenhagen on Saturday and had a great day window shopping, just getting lots of ideas for presents. Then yesterday after work, I went shopping and picked up a few bargins. How I love a bargin and I got some good ones. Today I did a bit more bargin hunting and got a few more small presents. So I am happy to say that I am on the way to getting orgainised for Christmas.

Sunday afternoon I relaxed by painting a few pictures...You can see the results below.

(Next time I must try something other than seascapes.)

Well I am just about to head out to Ikea. It´s girls night out, so I am meeting my friend Audry for a looooong walk around Ikea! Not planning on getting anything, just so enjoy being in there. Then at 9pm when Ikea closes, we head to McDonalds!

Hi Laura,

Sorry I haven't been in touch but I'm about to put a red cross on the front door!
Beth has had the chicken pox and Grace has had a chesty cold - both of them have been off school. Then to top it all Philip had a really bad throat infection and had 2 days off work!

Glad to hear you're getting organised for Christmas. I love Christmas. The music has started here and even the kids have started to write their cards!

Your paintings are fab! I just wouldn't have the patience to paint so I love seeing all of yours. Glad Kristian enjoyed his course. Hope you are all well

Well done Laura, I love this time of year, it's getting colder and you can hop up nice and cosy when going out. I would like it more if it got dark all year round about 6.30pm and got light about 6am every day of the year.

Charlene, hope everyone is getting better.

'Finally started'? I don't even think about Christmas shopping until the middle of December! Indeed the past few years for all of my friends, I've given Charity Gifts - it's brilliant (I don't know if they agree, but hey ho I know the gift is well used, building shelters or whatever:-)

'Old faithful Lisa' Is Lisa not at least 18 months younger than you my dear????

Hey Charlene - hope everyone will soon be back to normal (whatever that is!) - another friend story for you . . . Some years ago my friend's daughter was sick, and kept calling "Mum" "Mum". Eventually after hours of this, Jacqueline said "I'm going to change my name" I said "What to?" She said "Dad, that would be a good one, wouldn't it?!" I really laughed at that one:-)

That would be good Rhoda, only thing is, nothing would ever get sorted!

I meant "old" in the nicest possible way....No offence to you Lisa

No offense taken! In work Im one of the oldest so Im used to it! Even the Dr's (apart form one) are all younger than me! The manager who is also a partner is younger than me too! Connor had to do a family tree for homework and when he was writing my date of birth, he said "1970? Wow that was sooo long ago"!
