Austria....

We are having a fantastic time in Austria. We left Denmark Friday morning and travelled down through Germany. We had a great trip, no traffic jams, everything went like clock work. We spent the night in Kassels.

Saturday morning we left Kassels and hoped to be in Austria by 6pm. That did not happen. There were soooo many traffic jams through out Germany, so we arrived 2 hours after we planned, at 8pm. We were thankful when we finally got the keys to the apartment and we could get in and settled.

The apartment is wonderful......

Sunday we relaxed and then went to explore the town of Rauris. We decided we would explore the mountain close to us and so we took the ski lift up to the top - a height of  approx. 1750m.

I will admit I was a bit scared about going up in the ski lift. I am not great with heights! But it went ok!

We ate lunch at the top of the mountain and late afternoon we returned to the apartment were we all just relaxed, each in our own way.

Sunday evening, Leah, Kristian and I went a walk. It was a beautiful evening.

Today we wondered what we should do. The kids wanted to stay at home to hang out in the apartment, go to the pool and just relax. Us oldies wanted to go out and explore so that´s what we did. We decided to head over the biggest mountain in Austria...Grossgluckner. It was amazing.

When we returned we headed out to eat dinner together. A really great day!
