Our poor wee cat....

...our poor wee cat has been through the wars today. My heart aches for her. Being a woman I can sympathise totally with her.

She´s been to the vet and got sterlised....had her ovaries and womb removed and now has a big scar on her wee tummy...she looks a sorry sight. Not to mention her big sad eyes. I will be honest - I shed a few tears for her when she came home with Kristian - she just looked so pathetic!

It´s so amazing how one can get so attached and involved with a wee animal!

I have also been sick for the past few days. Sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, coughing....well I think you get the picture!! It started on Sunday evening, but I went to work Monday and Tuesday, however by Tuesday evening I was feeling really rotten. I then got a fever and so spent all day Wednesday and most of today(Thursday) in bed. I now feel alot better - more like a human being again!! So I plan to be at work again tomorrow.

Tomorrow, Friday, my favourite day of the week!! Oh how I love a Friday!

Anyone who has not been on the blog for a while - check out the post about Februarys chat night - LIVE!....some very important information in that post!

Oh Laura, I feel sorry for your poor wee cat too! She'll probably be a bit uncomfortable for a day or two, but then she'll pick up and be as right as rain again. And at least you won't have to worry about wee kittens:-) You are a very responsible cat owner - and I'm proud of you!!!!
I used to hate if I ever had to take Malin to the vet, and he certainly let me know that he felt I was betraying him!!!!!

Hope you really are feeling better, and that you don't go back to work too soon. You are probably feeling under a bit of pressure to get the extra time worked up as well. But just look after yourself!

PS Wow I wrote that wee bit about Malin, and didn't burst into tears - I must be beginning to get better!

Well done rhoda for talking about Malin without crying. It is sooo hard - I have been crying all through dinner, cause she just looked so awful so I have been getting lots of hugs from the kids and kristian.

I know she will be fine but I feel like we have betrayed her - not doing it, cause I couldnt stick not having her done, all that meowing etc...but just cause she is suffering a bit, she has pain killers that we will give her the next 3 days....and I missed her sooo much today. Yesterday she lay all day in bed with me, just lying at my feet, and then today there was nothing....awful!!

Anyway I hope everything works out for that weekend and you can get the tickets from Ryanair. I had problems booking too - when it came to telephone numbers....I am dreading flying with them - I saw a programme about them and it was not good!!delays, not good service etc... the things you do to get a cheap flight...so we try them and see how it goes.

One of my workmates went to London with them and had absolutely no problem - so you never know.

Ok got to go to bed.....hey what did you all plan for the 7th when you had your wee chat???? Where should we eat???

My problems with Ryanair are more to do with how they treat their staff - it's appalling, (did you know they only actually pay their staff when they are in the air? They don't get paid for their turn around time, but only from the minute the flight takes of! The staff don't get sick pay, instead their pay is docked for each day they are off! They are told they will never get a ref when they leave, unless their immediate line manager gives them one - dreadful stuff etc etc) mind you I don't think they have much respect for their customers either. If you fly with them, and miss a connection - which might still be with them - you have to buy a new ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I struggle between the convenience of them and their morals! And it's really difficult when they make it possible for you to fly for peanuts.
Probably your flight will be fine - it will be full of adverts from you get on till you get off, and your head will be turned - so just make sure you take an ipod or something!
I would also recommend you really check their terms and conditions, they tend to hide really nasty things in there. For example if you have chosen online book in, they will charge you a fortune if you then check in at the desk. Your handbag must be inside your hand luggage. If you have checked in baggage you must keep it within the weight - every kg over 15kg is £15 - and they show no mercy!

But other than that I'm sure they're absolutely fine!!!!!

!. Poor little kitten, I sympathise with her completely!! When we got Jack done, I went to the vets to pick him up (he had to stay overnight) & he was running around like an idiot! It didnt phase him at all! He's 10 years old now & still gets on like a puppy!
2. Hope your feeling better soon, its miserable having the cold.
3. Think we might go to Speranzas again! Lorraine & I are having coffee on Tues so we'll talk about it then. Was talking to Julie's mum today & I asked her to let Julie know to keep the 7th free as we are going out.
4. Ronnie's flown with Raynair to Valencia the last 3 years in a row and never had any problems.
5. Got our wardrobes today so will post a photo once they are built. Cant wait to get the clothes of the floor & back into a wardrobe, our rooms been like a jumble sale for the last 2 weeks!

It's looking less and less likely for me to get to Ireland in Feb. I tried so many times to book it, but it wouldn't let me past the contact page. And then each time I went back I was going to have to go for longer and longer - and we are still wanting to get away somewhere warmish, so it was just eating up all my holidays. Next time eh?!

Ah Rhoda, can you not book over the phone, or with easyjet? It will be such a shame for you to miss the reunion & for us not to meet!
