Been at it again.....

It was wonderful to wake up early on Friday morning, roll over and go back to sleep. We all had the day off (except poor Kristian, he was still at his course.) The rest of us thoroughly enjoyed having the day at home to relax.

I decided to spend the day painting. Great way to spend a day at home. Below is the results.

Late afternoon Kristian came home. We had a nice Friday evening together as a family.

Sara was racing this weekend. It was at one of the hardest go-kart tracks and she finished 10th. (She was not happy with this as, at one point, she had been up in 5th position...ah well, maybe next time she will hold her position.)

Some bad news for me....over the past week Leah has been talking about stopping horseriding and taking up go-karting. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! (Not 2 girls in the family!!) Her and Sara have talked about it all week and this weekend she went with Sara to the go-kart track and had a blast. (Oh dear - I was hoping she would hate it - anyway lets see what happens, hopefully it is just a phase!!)

love the paintings Laura - you really are good:-)

As far as the karting goes, I think it might have to be case of you can't beat them join them!!!!!

Your paintings are lovely - so talented!! But as for the karting.....oh dear my dear!!! Isnt it funny how the two girls are into karting and Andrew has no interest?!

Lorraine & I went to Pauline's dads funeral today, it was a lovely service and a good turnout for him. Pauline was ok, still very shocked but thats only to be expected, it was bittersweet as it was great to see her again after all these years. We told her to come back soon to visit her mum as she needs to be kept busy and when she's over we'll have a night out, try to lift her spirits a bit.

I finished 'redeeming love' last night, and yes I cried like a baby!! I cried when she told him her real name, and when they had children, and when I read the message on the cross! Thank you very much Laura, a really good book.

Oh Redeeming love is amazing!!!! But then again I think all of Francis River's stuff is amazing. I'm not surprised you cried your way through that - it would brings tears to a stone, and you are certainly no stone:-) I mean this is the girl who cries over a car, and who won't put up a real tree, cos that would mean killing it!!!!

I know Rhoda - Im an embarrassment to my family! But they are getting used to me, slowly!! A couple of weeks ago one of my nephews passed his driving test & he rang his mum who was in my house. She was all happy and saying well done etc, and me.......I started to cry!!! And the funny thing was she said 'im in auntie Lisa's', to which he replied 'oh no - she'll be crying her eyes out'!!

I am so glad you enjoyed it Lisa...isnt it just a fantastic story. I cried from start to finish, everytime Kristian looked at me I was crying.

I loved the part when Michael took her out to watch the sun rise. She was still fighting his love..so Michael took her out to show her the sunrise and he told her that this was the life he wanted to give her..a life of colour and warmth.I thought that was beautiful, I thought it was such a beautiful picture of what God wants to give us, a wonderful life full of colour and light and warmth....and so many times we fight against it just like Angel did. Oh I think I need to read the book again - I have already read it 3 times!!

I agree with you Rhonda - anyone of her books are brilliant. She is my favourite author of all time. Have you read her books about the woman mentioned in the lineage of Jesus - they are brilliant and then there is one about a slave girl, set in rome about 60AD...brilliant too!! Although you need to get past the first 4 or 5 chapters as its describes a lot of war, fighting but once you get pass the setting of the scene it was brilliant.

I have also read some of her modern day ones, they are great but I especially like her ones about ancient times.

Ok enough from me - got to go get dinner ready..
