All is well....

I have been a bit quiet on the blog this last week. All is well, we are just busy, busy, busy!!

Work takes up a lot of our time and neither of us want to be there these days!! We just want to be out at the house getting it all ready for the move. Unfortunately we can´t do that, so we have to be content with what we can get done after work.

We have had a very productive week though and we are feeling soooo good about all the things we are achieving. My hubby is turning into a real wee handy man and because he is such a perfectionist, he does the job well. I really am impressed by what he has achieved. Take a look......

We got the built in cupboard finished this week. Only the doors to be painted and put on.

We got this second hand bed for leah which she loves. Just needed a hoovering and wash down.

The floors were finished this week too.

One evening we had a trailer so we took a few pieces of furniture over to the new place. (oh I can´t wait to start putting in the furniture!)

Kristian got the walls in the kitchen all ready to be papered and painted.

Kristian started building the kitchen cupboards.

It´s starting to look a little like a kitchen! And, believe it or not,  we are still enjoying getting it all ready!

While my hubby worked so hard all weekend, Leah and I headed off on a girlie trip. We went to a "Woman to Woman" conference in Copenhagen. There were quite a few women from our church going as well as a few of Leah`s friends from church. Kristian`s sisters` Signe and Hanne were also going, as well as my niece. We had a brilliant Friday evening and all day Saturday together

The speaker at the conference was a woman from Bradford, Charlotte Gambill. She was so challenging!  The worship was lead by Martin Smith from Delerious and I really enjoyed that. It was so great to be with all these women and to have our attention focused on God. On Friday evening instead of coming home we spent the night in Copenhagen at my nieces new penthouse apartment!! Top floor - 5 stories up, what a killer to climb those stairs but well worth it with the views from the top! A really beautiful, cosy apartment. Hanne and Signe were also there so it was really late by the time we went to bed. I think we are about to start another family tradition of going to this conference each year together, as we all really enjoyed it.

Today is Leah´s birthday. We didnt do as much as we usually do.  She had already gotten her present last month (her guitar) so this evening we went out for a chinese to celebrate. We needed a quiet break after the weekend we had at the conference.

It's lovely to see everything taking shape Laura - and happy (belated) anniversary. I still remember the hot day at Adelboden and the sax music after the meal.
