....so Kristian is on the mend again. He had a sore throat on Thursday and was off work Thursday and Friday. On Saturday he was feeling a bit better so decided to go to CEF´s 65th anniversary. However the "feeling better feeling" soon left him. He probably should have just stayed at home. He spent all Sunday in bed and slept most of this morning away. This afternoon when he got up he was feeling so much better. Getting back to his normal self again. It´s back to work for him tomorrow.
So our friend Jeff arrived on Thursday evening. He was here to attend the 65th anniversary of CEF in Denmark. Like I said, it was held on Saturday and we had a great afternoon and evening. It was great seeing people that I hadn´t seen in years. Kresten Jensen who has been National Director in Denmark for many years (and was also my boss for many years) was retiring. His daughter Dorthe is now taking over as National Director. There were two other Northern Irish people there, besides Jeff and me. so we had a great time with each other. I must say it was a really great day!!
So now for the house update:- Things are slowly coming together. The kitchen is now out! On Wednesday a man is coming to plaster the wall where the tiles have come off. Then we can paper and paint. On Friday another man is coming to sand and polish the floors. So by the weekend we should be able to start putting in the kitchen.
Leah came out with us today and started to paint the woodwork for her room.
My name is Laura and I come from Belfast, Northern Ireland. I am married to Kristian who is Danish, so for the past 25 years I have lived in Denmark. We live in a small town north of Copenhagen. We have 3 kids, Sara (24 years), Andrew (22 years) and Leah(18 years).
Kristian and I are both Christians. It´s so great to be in a relationship with God and know He is there helping us and loving us no matter what life may throw our way. Life has meaning and purpose.
I started this blog mainly as a diary so I could look back and see what we had done as a family over the years. Then I realised it was a great way for my family and friends in Ireland to follow our life here in Denmark. It´s not the most exciting blog - it´s just life - our life :-)
