Lots has been happening in the Rasmussen household but the big question is - Can I remember what?!!
I need to think back almost 2weeks.....time to get the diary out!
Thursday 11th August found me at Ikea again. This time with my good friend Audry. We, as usual, had a blast! We ended the evening in McDonalds and had such a great chat and laugh.
(I really like the mat in the photo above! You might see it in my place someday:-)
Friday 12th August Kristian had off work but was up at 5.15am. He was heading to the other side of Denmark for a go-kart race. I would be mostly alone over the weekend. (Leah had to work the weekend and when she had free she had a friend´s birthday party to go to and a date night with Lasse.)
I was actually looking forward to a lot of hours by myself.
Friday evening Laura came over and we had a girls night in. We made snacks, did facials and watched some Bible teaching. We had a fab evening and felt like we got something for body, soul and spirit.
Saturday I had planned a whole day by myself. It started with a quick clean of the house and then I headed to one of the big towns to shop. I spent ages in this huge paint shop looking at wall paper and getting ideas for my hallway.
I had a blast. I bought some food for dinner and headed home to a clean, tidy house. I put my feet up and watched a film. Then I spent the evening looking at old photos before going to collect Leah from her birthday party.
Soooo many great memories stored in boxes.

Tuesday 16th August was date night. The weather turned lovely so I texted Kristian at work and asked if he wanted to go on a date with me. He said yes! (Thankfully!)
We went to a place that we haven´t been to in years. I had bought delicious sandwiches and some cream cakes from the Bakery.
It was sooo great to have time to enjoy the scenery and get to talk. We hadn´t seen each other all weekend, so it was great to catch up.
Last weekend Kristian was home and so we spent the time doing things around the house. He worked in the garden and I got my painting room cleared up again.
I have been wanting a big chair for my painting room and I found a second hand one on Friday. I offered the man 20 pounds for it and he accepted. I really thought that was too cheap, I was expecting him to say 50!! So I got myself a bargin. I love it....it is sooo comfortable to sit in. In real life it is a darker green colour....just the sort of green that I love.
I also got a little creative at the weekend. I made a picture out of pebbles.
Saturday evening Laura and I went to a Jazz Festival in one of the local villages. Kristian refused to come as it said in the paper that they would be teaching Swing Dance, he was afraid that he would have to dance.
It was hilarious. Laura and I really learned the steps and before the evening was through we had the moves. It was sooo much fun. The music was brilliant. Kristian really missed out on a great night. There were loads of tables to sit at, so you didn´t need to get up and learn to dance if you didn´t want to. He would have enjoyed the music but I think he enjoyed having the house to himself for the evening. That doesn´t happen very often for him.
We also have had an invasion of mice. Our little cat Zoey and Laura´s little cat Maisey keep bringing us home mice!! One morning Kristian woke to a mouse on his arm (thankfully I was in the shower getting ready for work. ) Zoey had brought the wee mouse in. Zoey doesn´t kill them, she just plays with them. Kristian got a shock when he saw a mouse running up his arm. He thought it was me trying to wake him!! haha
Then Saturday evening Zoey had been pushing her waterbowl all over the kitchen floor. I got up to put it back where it stays and there was a mouse under it - a live one!! It ran across the kitchen floor and I screamed and ran in the other direction. Kristian was able to catch it and take it out to the fields.
Then on Monday evening Laura came running in to me. There was a wee mouse outside her door that was suffering. Her cat had brought it home but hadn´t killed it. (Cats can be sooo cruel.) The poor wee thing was suffering. Laura was in a state, Kristian wasn´t home so I had to do something. I got the shovel and hit it - it was awful. The worse thing I have ever had to do!! The poor wee thing was put out of its misery.
In between all that there has been time for bike rides, some Bible journalling, some reading and some chats with friends over facebook. I am truly blessed.
