And the first week of the New Year over.
Friday 30th December we got together with our neighbour Laura and Mia along with some of our other neighbour friends, Pernille and Thomas, from down the road. We were going to eat dinner together and catch up with each other. We went to Pernille and Thomas´s house where they had a delicious main course ready for us. I brought the salad and Laura brought the rice. We had such a cosy evening all together.
New Year was quiet for us - just the way we like it.
On the morning of the 31st October we were up early. We were going to our friend Klaus´s 50th Birthday Brunch. We had such a lovely morning and early afternoon with Klaus, his wife Mette and their families. We were home by 3pm. Leah was working until 3pm then she came home and got ready to go her friends. She was celebrating New Year with her.
Kristian and I were looking forward to a quiet New Years Eve - just the two of us. We made dinner together and then ate in front of the TV. The food was sooo good and we ate too much.
On the 1st January we finally got the Christmas decorations down and the tree thrown out. That was it all over for another year. But it sure was a good Christmas.
On the 2nd January Kristian was back at work again. I still had one more day off, however I had been invited to a 60th Birthday Brunch. My boss was turning 60 and so my colleagues and I were heading over to his home to celebrate.
We had the most delicious brunch. I got dressed up and did a bit of entertaining with a song for his birthday. Unfortunately I don´t have a picture of the lovely lady that came and sang for him! We had a lovely day together.
Tuesday I was back at work again - it was soooo hard getting up early again
On Wednesday I was busy preparing for yet another birthday. It was my colleagues 40th birthday and so I stayed a while after work to decorate the place, and write a song for her. I then went to town to find presents from us all. I got home a bit late that evening!
Now it´s Friday and it´s weekend!! I am sooo in need of this weekend. It´s hard starting a New Year and starting back to work too!! haha
Andrew arrived home this afternoon with Kristian. He has come to stay for the weekend. It´s sooo lovely having him home for a while. We had a lovely dinner together before settling down to watch X-factor together as a family. (The only one missing was Sara! ) It was fun being us 4 again.
Then Kristian and him got on the playstation and started to play FIFA!! Leah and I left the room!! Those boys will be boys!!
