Now where did today go??!!!

Today just seemed to fly by!! and it was all go from start to finish.

I spent the day up in the attic. It doesnt seem that long ago that the attic was my hide away place. A place where I spent many a waking hour as a teenager. Up in the attic I sang many a song into my hair brush pretending to be the latest big star of the 80's! Up in the attic I would dream about whatever boy I was madly in love with.....I would dream about my future, what I would do, places I would go.

Back then my whole life was in front of me. It was strange sitting there today, a middle-aged (but only in body, I'm really young in spirit!) married woman with 3 big kids. Where has the time gone?

Off course the attic I sat in today, was nothing like the attic I sat in as a teenager. It was a mess! Through the years things have been piled up there and have literally been forgotten. I wish I had a picture of before and after, unfortunately my camera broke....the card went funny and so I couldnt take any picutures, but believe me it was a mess. There was literally no where to stand...I had to climb up and then put the trap door down and stand on that. The stuff was dumbed on the floor and went up above desks and bookcases....I really didnt know where to start.

I decided to start in one corner and work around and thats exactly what I did. Dad, Sara and Leah went into Belfast and I stayed home and worked. It felt soooo good. I threw out and organised and before long I could see more and more of the floor!

Dad couldn't believe his eyes when he got home. Now there is still alot of organising and throwing out to do but now it isnt just an explosion in an attic. All the video tapes are in boxes at one side, flannelgraph stories are in bags another place. Dvd's and cassettee tapes in another box. So now dad can take a box at a time and sort through it and throw out what he doesnt want to keep.

I worked from around 10.30am until 7pm!! It felt soooo good but by 7pm I was tired and hungry and I was not in the mood to make dinner, so we headed out again to good old KFC. (We only have a KFC in Copenhagen and we are not very often in there so we had no objections to eating KFC again!)
Sara had bought a new camera in town today so we had it with us to try it out. She is all happy with it. (not to mention my dad! He thinks its a brilliant wee camera for the money and is trying to convince the rest of us that we need one too! haha)

Now I didnt get a chance to shop today and since the shops open so late over here we decided to head to TK max and Matalans on the way home. We didnt buy anything but just enjoyed walking around looking. Even bumped into my friends Ruths mum and sister (Pat and Judith). It was rather strange cause I forgot I was in Belfast and noticed them coming towards me. I thought to myself "that looks like someone I know, but it cant be since I'm in Denmark" but then they recongised me. It was really good seeing them again.

It was then home and a long chat on the phone with my sister-in-law. She is coming by tomorrow with my neice and nephew. I am so looking forward to seeing them again.

Must say it has been a long and productive day. I'm going to bed content and satisfied! Goodnight all.

Guess where we have been?

Guess where we have been all day? I know its a hard question but I will give you a few minutes to think it over. Did I hear anyone say PRIMARK! How did you know??

Well actually first we went to Boots, then Primark, then back to Boots. We had a delicious Subway (sorry Andrew you couldnt have one too) and we ended the day in HMV and Dunnes. Those few shops took us a little over 5 hours to get around!!! But it was soooo much fun. Sara and Leah had a blast and I enjoyed watching them have a blast.

Just take a look below and see what they found....

Leah got new PJ's and slippers

Below: Leah with her new cardigan, bag and leg warmers - total price of £6.50

Below: Leah with her £1 neclace, new leggings and Sara's hairband

Sara got herself a new cardigan...

A new blue top and a bow for her hair.....

Cool dude.....Sunglasses £2 and jacket reduced to £5

The white jacket she has on below is one she saw while home in the summer. It costs £20 then and she always regretted not buying it. Today she got it for £5

Leah just loves her PJ's......

Make way for Nanny McPhee.... (the jacket below is not from primark but another shop - on sale from £45 to £7!!!!!!) Black gloves are from Primark - reduced from £10 to £1!!!

It was so funny to watch Sara carefully plan what she was going to buy and what she was not going to buy. She had worked long and hard at her shoe shop for the money she used today, so she was making sure she spent it wisely and got the best bargins available. What happy girls I have!!

As for me - I got myself a pair of fleece PJ's and bright pink sock slipper things...so I too am a very happy girl!

It was then home to a wonderful bowl of Grandad's home made soup. Delicious!!

Now I am off, up to the attic to clear out a stack of stuff!!! (Wish me luck!!)

It went like clockwork...

The day started bright and early. I awoke feeling great. For the first time in 5 days I didnt have a sore head, eyes, neck etc....and I had energy again. I actually felt like I could cope with the day ahead.

So at 7.45am we left home and caught the train to Copenhagen, here we would connect with the Inter City train that would take us to the other side of Denmark.
We relaxed on the train...read some magazines, chatted, ate some sweets and before we knew it we were at our destination. We just needed to find out what bus would take us to the airport. We found that no problem.
When we arrived at the airport we couldnt believe it - there were no people. Well not very many! (We are used to Copenhagen airport with lots of activity and people.) This was totally something else - we were in Jylland!!! and I loved it!!
(Photo above: See for yourself - can you find anyone???)
We played Monoply....
and Sara had a wee accident with the tomatoe ketchup. (see below) This was the second time she did this, so we just had to get a picture!

and we ate some more.....

and finally at 7.00pm our bus rolled into the bus station behind the Europa hotel and I was once again home.
Grandad came to get us and by now we were straving again so a trip to KFC was made. (Leah says : "haha Andrew - we had pop corn chicken!!!")
The day really did go like clock work and we actually really enjoyed the journey.

We´re getting ready....

...the cases are packed, the tickets and passports are in my bag and we are ready to go.

I am feeling alot better today. I have been fever free from yesterday (Monday) afternoon, I nearly didnt dare believe it would stay away - but it did.

I spend the good part of today in bed (like until 2.30pm!!) and now I feel so much better. Still a bit funny/sore around the eyes and head...but nothing I cant live with. I am however soooo tired - no energy...but give me a few more days and I should be feeling like my old self again.

So tomorrow we have a long day of travelling in front of us. We leave at 8am and take a train to Copenhagen where we take a connecting train to the other side of Danmark. We should finally arrive in Belfast at about 7.30pm.....makes me tired just thinking about it. But we have lots of goodies packed for the road, a few books to read - music to listen to - cards to play. The time should pass quickly. (lets hope)

So the next time you hear from me I will be back in wee Norn Iron - where the craic is good - as we say over there!! Cant wait!!! (and if you dont know what craic is - you will have to come to Norn Iron and experience it!!)

I think I spoke too soon

....the fever is climbing and I am starting to feel really rotten again....oh dear!! I was so hopeful that the worst was over. So here I am, off to bed AGAIN.....I´ll keep you posted. :-)

On the mend...

It´s Sunday afternoon and I think I am on the mend!! ('Thanks for your prayers) I have no fever at the minute, although my head still feels funny and sore, especially around the eyes. Anyway I have been taking it easy today and have been in bed all day again. So its been a whole other weekend than I had planned. I was suppose to clean, organise, pack, shop for meals for Andrew and Kristian to have while we were gone and I had also hoped I could paint a picture to take over to dad. Got none of the above done.

However while lying in bed I did get to listen to different teachings....especially one on "God wants you well." (Thought this was very fitting to listen too when I was feeling so rotten!) It was this guy called Andrew Wommack that was teaching and I must say, even though it was very different from what I have been brought up to believe, his teaching made a lot of sense. (...at least what I heard of it - still have more to listen too) There was also some amazing stories about healings that took place. If you want to check him out his website is: www.awmi.net go into TV broadcasts (on the left hand side) then under 2008 archives. His teaching on healing begins in week 11 onwards. I really want to listen to more of it, but maybe the rest of you could have a listen too and tell me what you think of it all. (but only if your interested - no pressure!)

Now to something else.....RICHVIEW RE-UNION AGAIN!!

Yes - next Saturday, the 7th February we will all meet up again at Speranazas for a night of fun and laughter and catching up with each other again. So far Lisa, Lorraine, Julie, Ruth, Rhonda, Charlene, and myself are going. If you want to join the fun you have to let us know - SOON, like say by Tuesday or Wednesday as we have to book the table. So please leave a comment if you want to come along.

We will meet at 7pm at Speranazas.....I am soooo looking forward to seeing you all again.
