Out is good - but home is best!

...and home we are again! We had a wonderful holiday in France. It was a good mixture of relaxing and getting out and about to see some of the country. The kids were just great to be with and we had a lot of good family time together.

The last few days of our holiday we spent just relaxing at the campsite although we did at one point leave the campsite and go for a walk up to the waterfalls that were near by.

Like I said - out is good but home is best and it was wonderful to come home again and see Sara.(and off course Shadow!)

Sara survived while we were gone (although she was a bit surprised to find out that she actually missed us!) She was working during the week and the two weekends that we were away she spent with friends. The first weekend she went to visit her cousin Christine and they invited Jack and Kasper over. They had a BBQ together without burning the meat!! (or burning the house down!)

Christine came home to stayed with Sara one of the weekends. Her mum and dad were also away on holiday and she was staying at home to work too. (what dedicated young people we have! haha )

They also went off to one of the local amusement parks, along with Jack, Kasper and another friend. They had a great day out.

Looking through all Saras photos it looks like she had a good time at home. The house was even clean and tidy when we came home!

Although she enjoyed being home there was one thing she didnt enjoy sooo much...that was the frozen food she ate. (well it wasnt frozen when she ate it! haha) Sara is like me - she hates to cook and is not interested in it. I had stocked the freezer up with frozen foods like pizza, chicken nuggets, stir fries, chinese rolls etc. so she could just stick things in the oven. She had lived on that stuff (and pasta) while we were gone. So when we came home, I made a lovely home cooked meal for us all and boy did I get lots of praise and thanks for that delicious meal.

So since coming home I have done nothing constructive. My plans were to come home and unpack, do washing, and get all tidied up - ah what a laugh, I have done none of it!

Today Sara and I had a girls day out. We went out shopping. Sara is leaving, on Tuesday, for France for 2 weeks holiday.

All her hard work has paid off and she has saved enough to be able to go on this trip. She will spend the time at go-kart races, the one week at one race then travelling on to another race. She is soooo happy that everything has worked out. So today we went out bargin hunting to get her some shorts and t-shirts. She got a few tops and a pair of shorts and at Primark prices! (there were so many sales with 70% off things!) So I had a happy girl. It was really nice to be out with her today, we had a great afternoon together. Thanks Sara!!

I nearly felt sick watching them eating that candy floss - so quickly!!! I would have let Kasper win no problem.

Isn't it strange to think your wee girl is getting so independent?!

Housework will always be there Laura - never worry!

The video wont work for me, I'll try it again tomorrow. Well you all had a great time, Sara included but my only question is why is she wearing her ipod to brush her teeth????? Especially as her friend is with her - it doesnt reflect well on her friends conversation skills ha ha!!!
