Yesterday....

...was our 20th wedding anniversary.

So the day started with Kristian making me breakfast. (that was a real surprise! Kristian is not a morning person!) So I got the whole works - bacon, eggs, bread, juice. It was lovely! I also got a bunch of flowers and some sweets.

Since we both were busy yesterday, we decided to celebrate our anniversary one day later. So today when I came home from work Kristian took me out on a date!

We drove up to the coast. There was a restaurant that we had heard good things about and we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed.

We had the most delicious meal! A 250grm Herford steak from Ireland, along with a salad buffet and different types of potatoes! It will not be last time we go there!!

We finished our meal just in time to have a walk along the beach and take a few snaps of the sky before the sun went down. It has been a lovely anniversary. Wonder where we will be in 20 years from now???! I will be 62!!! HELP that sounds old!! hahaha

Laura you're ahead of your time! When you celebrate your Ruby Wedding anniversary you will only be 61 not 62! (Ok, you'll turn 62 before the end of it:)!!)

I can hardly believe it's 20 years since you stood at the door of the church saying "Kristin turn round, look at me"

Oh ur right rhoda - I am only 41!!! I thought I was 42!!! hahaha but u know what my mind is going....

On the 1st sept while I was at work (at the church) kristian sent me a text message, it said "20!! that is totally wild!! love u"

Well I read this and thought, "what on earth is he on about??"Now remember we had been up having breakfast together, doing a mini celebration, but for the life of me, I could not work out what he was on about!! I thought it had something to do with go-kart, like he was starting his race in 20th place on something to do with his exams at work. So I sent him a text back asking "what on earth are you on about?!" (and I was serious!) It took about 2 hours before the penny dropped. So I rang him and explained that everything was ok - I now had worked out the message! hahaha

I don´t think it has hit us both that we have been married 20 years! The time has gone by soooo fast! hahaha

Laura!!!!! I can't believe that - you the queen of romance?! You didn't have it in your head all day that you had been married 20 years?!
Oh my there's no hope for the rest of us poor mortals!
Hey maybe Kristian is going to take over the romance guru in your home.
(Sounds like he better, otherwise there's no hope!)

Thought you would like to know, that Stuart has fixed your blog on our computer now and it is back to normal size!!!!! Hurrah, because I couldn't read a word.

Just like Rhoda, I am soooo shocked that you weren't aware it was your anniversary. Like you didn't know all year long!!!!????

I was just having a senior moment!! A LONG SENIOR MOMENT!!! haha

Now in my defence I think I just misunderstood Kristian´s message because we had made the deal that we would really celebrate the day after our anniversary. Well that´s my story anyway, and I am sticking to it! hahaha

Oh I had another senior moment, I bought him a box of dvd´s of Top Gear, as an anniversary present. ....only problem - I already bought him the same dvd´s a while ago!! I really am losing the plot
:-) hahahahah (what´s worse is that and I can´t believe that I am telling you all this!haha)

Oh Laura!
Up until I was 40 I had the sharpest memory for everything. I just took it for granted that I could remember any detail.
And it seemed that within months of turning 40, a gremlin came one night and stole parts of my memory! Suddenly I can't remember names when I meet people etc etc. So don't worry about it, I think it's one of the joys of hitting the 40s!:)
LOL it's why older women shouldn't have babies . . . . they would put them down and forget where they put them!!!!

I too am shocked that the queen of romance missed her 20th anniversary!!

Rhoda, I am 40 next month and your not making it any easier, talking about memory loss!! Please someone tell me that life really does begin at 40, Im in a total panic!!

It's only a number Lisa!!! I really don't mind turning 40 next year. What are you going to do? If you haven't got any plans, you need to plan something really special or at least get Ronnie to do it. Make it a real celebration. xxx
