Road trip....

A while ago we (Laura, Mia, Leah and I) had an idea to do a girly road trip. We had just seen the film Wild Hogs and thought it would be fun to just hit the road, like the men in the film, and have a few days away together. So Tuesday morning at 7am we were up and ready to leave.

I tried to look like Woody from the film. We had 37km to bike to our bed and breakfast for the evening. We actually biked a little more than that as the B&B was 3km outside th e town. We biked at least 46km that first day. What an achievement for us, considering none of us were in shape!

We followed route 33 which took us through some wonderful nature areas. We went from forest to wide open fields. It was beautiful although the path through the forest was hard as there were a lot of hills which felt like mountains!

Our bed and breakfast place was soooo cosy. We loved it.

I have never been soooo glad to see a bed. My legs ached, my arms and hands too. The worse however was my bum!!

All us girls piled into bed and relaxed. I nodded off for an hour.

After a few hours rest we biked it back into town and found a wonderful restaurant to eat at. The food was amazing and not a bad price! The restaurant was right on the beach!

After dinner we had a walk along the beach and then sat in the sand dunes and just enjoyed the beautiful weather and the sound and smell of the sea.

We laughed sooo much through out the whole trip!

We had a great nights sleep and the next morning a wonderful breakfast was served for us on the top of the cliff overlooking the sea.

We spent the morning being cosy, playing cards and talking. Then it was off on our bikes again. We biked a few more kilometers down the road and found a wonderful beach were we settled for the afternoon

We cheated and took the train home. We just couldn´t face another long bike ride!

We decided to end the trip by going to one of my favourite restaurants - The Mexican. We were all in the mood for Mexican food.

We then biked the last 10km back home where Kristian was waiting to welcome us.

A really great road tirp with 3 fantastic people. We talked, we laughed, we dreamed and we just had a really great time together. Another tradition has been started!!

Tomorrow we head of to Austria. Kristian stops work today, this evening we pack the car and tomorrow we head off. We are so looking forward to the break.

While we are gone an American family, who will be visiting Laura, will be staying in our home. They will look after Shadow and the place for us.
