Who`s a clever cat?

Can you train a cat to sit? Well I thought I would at least give it a try. So for about 2 weeks now I have been saying "SIT" to the cat and when it did I would feed it something good. It seems to work...have a look at the video!

Maybe I wil try "Roll over" next!!

I would love to see the cat obeying your commands but I cant watch the video, it is saying the video is not available at this time! I'll try later.

Glad Kristian got back safe and sound, how will you cope for a week the next time though?

Hi Lisa

The video was working this morning, but now I am in checking and it is not working..it says its unavailable and to try later....so I will check in later and see if it´s working again. It must be the server or something....

Yes Kristian is back safe and sound - I know how will I cope for a week....good thing is I get the car for that whole week!! Yipeee now I am not complaining about that.

Hi Lisa

I meant to say above... "I DONT know how I will cope for a week" I should really read these things through before I post them! hahaha

By the way how are you feeling?? On the mend?? Hope you are doing well.

It's rotten when they go away - even if there are compensations - like the car! The last time David went to Iran he went for 3 months! I went for a month, but it wasn't quite in the middle, I had 3 weeks, then 4 weeks there, and then 7 weeks or something till he came back - and it was terrible. (I wasn't even blogging then!!!!!) So I'm dreading the next trip, which I know is coming - probably in the new year, I think it's going to be at least 3 months, and I probably won't get out at all:-(

Laura, Im all better! Back to work boo hoo!

Rhoda, how will you cope for 3 months? I couldnt do it. Last night ronnie was out late at a friends house & when I went to bed the dog started to bark & I was a nervous wreck thinking someone was trying to break in! Turned out it was a cat in the garden! I seriously thought about phoning the police (the dog never barks in the house), wouldnt I have looked a complete idiot! "hello police theres a cat trying to break into my house - no jokes about cat burglars please!!!!

Might have to review my feelings about moggies now I know they can be trained! Good for you girl! (Could you train them to scare intruders d'you think?!)

Finally I could watch the video! Every time I tried to watch it, it said unavailable.
Yes I am impressed that you got Shadow to sit, mind you if she's going to have to get a biscuit every time to do it, then soon she'll be sitting all the time - for she'll not be able to get up:-)!!!!!

Very good!!! Im very impressed! Can you come over and train my dog please? One word from me and he does what he wants! We have been patiently waiting for him to grow out of the mad excitable puppy stage - he's 10 in May! Still jumps around like he's 6 months old! But I think its maybe a labrador thing, though Jane has a red setter who is about 5 or 6 and he's the same too - must be the irish air

Hope you washed that spoon well, do you know what cat foods made of?? (the parts of the animal we dont eat including the bones)!!!!

Well if it doesnt kill me, it will make me stronger - and I´m not dead yet!! haha

Dont worry Lisa - we have a dishwasher and it washes things at 65degrees!!!

Oh I have to go make those horrible lunches, would much rather sit and chat.....
